Living Museum of the Great Western Railway

Welcome to Didcot Railway Centre

See our unique collection of Great Western Railway steam engines, coaches, wagons, buildings and small relics based around the original 1930s engine shed

Full of history for the GWR buff or anyone who loves steam trains and railways - My husband and I were part of a group that visited the Centre for half a day and we thought that that was not long enough. So at the next available opportunity we revisited the Centre to "finish" our tour. The Centre was very quiet on the day of our second visit but the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. An excellent day. Thank you, Didcot Railway Centre.

Getting close and personal to trains - A well laid out centre to see engines, signalling, and a museum. Good shop, cafe and toilets, and just a few minutes walk from inside Didcot Parkway station. Very helpful, friendly staff.
