No 231 - Hawksworth Auto Trailer

The final design of Auto Trailer, and the GWS' first coach. It has been reupholstered using a replica of the 1949 pattern moquette.

2021 saw the completion of an 'intermediate' repaint and overhaul. This included interior and exterior repaints, cleaning and sealing of the lino flooring, and the removal and subsequent re-instatement of the sliding ventilators and furnishings. The exterior of the body had 2 coats of varnish to protect the new paintwork,

All that remains is for the vehicle to be lifted to allow removal of the bogies and brake cylinders for inspection and overhaul.
