Prue Leith to launch 'Lady of Legend'

Didcot Railway Centre are delighted to announce that TV presenter and former member of the British Railways Board Prue Leith will be launching our Saint steam engine 'Lady of Legend' on Friday 5th April at 11.15am.

The Saint class was introduced at the beginning of the 20th century and influenced express passenger steam locomotive practice on Britain’s railways for the next half century. All members of the Saint class were scrapped by the 1950s, and ‘Lady of Legend’ has been reconstructed at Didcot so future generations can appreciate this seminal design.

Make sure you come and visit us!

The Railway Centre will be open 10.30 - 5pm.
