Didcot Railway Centre is one of the area’s leading tourist attractions and an accredited museum which cares for and operates an unparalleled collection of locomotives, carriages, wagons, buildings and other artefacts to provide visitors with enjoyable and informative experiences.
The 25-acre site also houses visitor amenities including refreshment rooms, gift shop, exhibitions & displays and is the venue for a varied series of special events.
We are now seeking Visitor Services & Events Assistants with a passion for delivering outstanding service to join our energetic and hard-working team.
This varied role could see you welcoming visitors and selling tickets, helping guests find their way around the site, providing guided tours, assisting in the gift shop and helping at special events.
Successful candidates will possess a friendly welcoming manner, an outgoing personality, enthusiasm and the confidence to talk to customers and will be able to demonstrate customer-facing experience and an eye for detail. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
These are part-time positions and the exact hours will vary from week to week, depending on activities at the Centre including our annual events programme. The Centre is open most weekends and special events are usually on Saturdays and/or Sundays so availability at these times and ability to work on a flexible basis are essential.
If you would like to be considered for these positions, please apply by e-mail enclosing your CV and a covering letter. Applications should be sent to Info@DidcotRailwayCentre.org.uk.
Applications must be received by 5.00pm on Friday 8 November.
