Proof of Carer Status

Proof of Carer Status:

Visitors may be asked to provide reasonable proof of carer status on the day of arrival. Accepted documentation includes (but is not limited to):

  • Carer’s Allowance award letter
  • Letter from a GP, social worker, or local authority
  • A recognised carer’s card (e.g. Carers UK or Carer Passport)
  • Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance award letter (dated within the last 2 years)
  • Personal Independence Payment letter (dated within the last 2 years)
  • A current and valid Blue Badge
  • ID badge from a recognised care organisation or care home.
