Clive Hetherington has left the Great Western Society
Our chief executive, Clive Hetherington has left the Great Western Society. We would like to thank Clive for his leadership during the last 5 years during which time our entrance ramp was built opening up access to all our visitors. He oversaw the renovation of our coal stage and water tower, expanded our educational offering to schools and helped to organise the 4 Castles event in 2023 and the visit of Flying Scotsman in 2025. Interim arrangements are being put in place and more details will be provided in due course.
