Spring Steam Days
May 21, 28/29 and weekends in June - Unlimited steam train rides; 200 years of railway heritage & much more!
Explore the unique collection of Great Western Railway steam locomotives, carriages, wagons, buildings and small artefacts at our 21 acre living museum set around the original 1932 Engine Shed
Wonderful, relaxed, day out - We visited on a Saturday, for one of the non-operation open days. It was wonderful to be able to wander round pretty much everywhere, with no crowds, no queuing, and no rush to catch trains, or find a seat. We were able to look at all aspects of railways, in close up, with my little boy. Beautiful weather helped, and we were able to eat outside twice. Very keen volunteers in the signalling demo, who looked immensely happy signalling trains. The multi-story is a short hike, but good value, and plenty of spaces.
